20 years on

I am pleased to share that after 20 years of building creatively and learning new ways of sharing community narratives and connecting people, we are now ready to enter a new phase. We are now beginning the actual work.

I was once asked by an major arts organisation how long it would take a young artist they wanted to place in a community to really embed into it properly. I told them maybe 20 years…

As a street artist and artistic director of a small organisation called @soulcityarts i have been building slowly and steadily, making lots of mistakes along the way. Many ask me why I am not out there much, how come they have haven’t heard about us before. My response is that we were just experimenting for 20 years and now we are ready.

We have an epic space that we had to fight for. We have a major project called Waswasa in August. Beyond that we have plans that you will have to wait a bit longer to hear about :)

You’ve waited 20 years so a bit longer won’t hurt.
